KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Respond to ad hoc requests, including but not limited to: Fixing site speed issues, designing/editing web pages, adding/removing plugins, addressing security/technical issues, etc.
  • Adapt WordPress and other platform themes to enhance visual appeal and website architecture, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines.
  • Debugging issues. Troubleshoot technical problems, fix bugs, and resolve performance issues promptly to maintain website functionality.
  • Enhancing performance. Optimize websites using debugging tools and frameworks.
  •  Ensuring security. Implement security measures to protect websites from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Managing integrations. Connect third-party APIs and use code versioning tools like Git to improve website features and performance.
  • Developing user-friendly designs. Focus on responsive design and user interface enhancements to ensure optimal user experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in development, including debugging, is required.
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, MySQL, and other programming languages.
  • Familiar with code versioning tools like Git, debugging platforms, and content management systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with team members and stakeholders.
  •  Experience managing and delivering web development projects on time and within scope.
  • Bonus: Experience working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
