Junior Full Stack Engineer Job Description

Job Title:Junior Full Stack Engineer
Location:New Brunswick, NJ (On-site for some meetings, work remotely)
Duration:One to two semesters
Schedule:flexible, 7-15 hours/week

General Qualifications

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Must have Technical Schooling, High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Be technology agnostic (using the right tool for the job vs. what you are familiar with).
  • Must be a self-motivated individual, comfortable teaching yourself new things, and a team player
Job responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Contribute to minimize technical debt across our growing code repository.
Actively participates in requirement reviews, technical design reviews, and code reviews
Working experience in an Agile environment (End-to-end SDLC experience and ability to work independently. )
Use client developed products along with Open source frameworks
Fixing defects with Debugging/Troubleshooting techniques
Web Application Development Focus
Experienced with HTML, CSS and Javascript
Expertise in UI/UX Design tools (Figma preferred)
javascript libraries: Angular, React, TypeScript
Experience with e-Commerce applications, Content Management Systems
maintain backends using server-side technologies RDBMS/SQL (e.g. MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Experience in DevOps (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to build databases & CI/CD pipelines
Strong OOP fundamentals, Best Practices, & Architecture Design Patterns
Experience in microservices and REST API web services (Node.js, JSON, XML). Postman a plus
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., GIT)
Knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus
hybrid Android/iOS mobile app Focus
Experience in developing native and hybrid mobile app features like Geolocation, Camera, and Push Notifications
Experience on working with iOS (Xcode, Objective C, Swift) and/or Android (Java, Kotlin)
Knowledge of Google Play store / Apple App store for testing, code signing and app store submissions
